Integrative Holistic Massage
A favourite with those struggling with stress; anxiety; depression; low energy; compromised libido; headaches; pain and stiffness. Restores function to the neuromuskuloskeletal and fascial systems. Multifaceted, multidisciplinary approach to soft tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, and fascia) manipulation on a highly individualized level.
Deep Tissue Massage
A favourite with athletes and those living an active lifestyle. Intense Massage incorporating oils and techniques used in the treatment of sports injury. Muscle release, joint manipulation and assisted stretching. It can also incorporate soft tissue release and trigger point therapy. The muscles may be rolled and specific injury areas may be addressed by releasing tension in connective, or fascia tissue. Assist in relieving joint stiffness and the pain from osteoarthritis.
Lymphatic
Drainage
Many surgeons recommend lymphatic drainage after you've had surgery to stimulate the healing process. Manuel lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a gentle, non-invasive massage, stimulating the body’s lymphatic system. The results with this exacting technique can often be noticed immediately.
The lymph system is a natural filter system in the body designed to remove toxins. It helps balance fluid and distributes immune cells throughout the body, to maintain health and defend against disease.
Indian Head Massage
A favourite with writers, this age old therapy is performed on clients in a seated position, generally through light clothing without the use of oils. I use a variety of rhythms and massage techniques concentrating on the upper back, shoulders, neck, upper arms, face and scalp. There are claims this stimulates hair growth in some people.
Thai Foot
Massage
A favourite with clients who
spend a lot of time on their feet, it stimulates circulation and is excellent for tired legs and feet. This massage uses reflex points and Thai Sen energy lines, and foot and calf
stretches.
